Thai people know well what has been happening.

This page is created for Thai people to express their opinions about the situation in Thailand in English language so people around the world can feel and see and know what local people feel, see and know.

We have experienced that international news reporters may have missed some issues and reported the situation to the world not precisely.

We hope that this page can be a source for those who want to know the situation from the heart of local people.

Read it by your heart. No one is forced to write anything here. They wrote it by heart too.

The ex-ambassador Surapong Chaiyanam mentioned that foreign countries still want Thaksin back. (PAD Report, ASTV)

…..

Last thing I want to talk about is how foreign countries are looking at us now. They have seen PAD has stopped the protest. The Somchai’s cabinet has gone. But this seems to be a temporary stability, because there is no government in Thailand, yet. There will be a new coalition government, so the power player is still ambiguous.

Now, we don’t know where sovereignty will be which coalition political parties. This is why the foreign countries – western countries, especially those who have high economical benefits in Thailand, have such attitude. We can see that most reports from western countries are not true about Thailand’s Politics, because they see that the power changing is still unclear.

Asking whether they still want Thaksin back, I believe so. They still want Thaksin returned, because Thaksin’s Regime still returns more economic benefits to them. But when the change is clear – when Thaksin is truely out of power, they will start to report more on what really happen in Thailand base on facts. Because they have to make decision base on their benefits. When they know that Thaksin’s Regime no longer existed, they will have to start a relation with a new Thai government.

From this change, you don’t have to concern that the New Politics we want, whatever other countries are thinking about. Ask yourselves, what you think about if we want a better change. Because the true meaning of the word ‘democracy’ is the rights of people to make a better change. This is the true meaning. If it is a demand from people, and we think a new coming government is acceptable, you don’t need to worry about foreigners, because this is Thailand.

Lastly, I want to say a little bit more… About human rights, good governance, inspecting and balancing, civil society, rules of state and rules of law, media freedom, and individual freedom. These things are not about democracy. They are not about “election” at all. For western countries, before having democracy, they have these 5-6 things. Therefore, …for our New Politics… we need to concern these 5-6 things to be established in Thailand. Election is indeed very trivial.

Thank you.

Don’t re-act with such a double standards

From democratically elected Saddam to communism in Chinese.

From Hugo Chavez in Venezuela to Mukabe in Zimbabwe.

You may have your standard, but when it comes to international relationships.. Most of the time, they are only about benefits

Time for Changes!

PS. If I have more free time, I will translate more transcript from the program.
