Probably, there are 2 good news for PAD today. What is Thaksin’s puppet going to do? I think we will know it in a few days. Don’t forget the court verdict on Thaksin case is due to announce on this 21 October.

NCCC says Somchai suspected of dereliction of duty

The National Counter Corruption Commission Thursday found cause to suspect guilt of Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat for dereliction of duty related to his past role as permanent secretary of the Justice Ministry.

The NCCC announced that it had found that Somchai had allegedly committed grave disciplinary offence for failing to punish two senior justice officials for their failure to impose a fee of Bt70 million for the auction of a land plot belonging to the Thanya Buri Provincial Court.

If I were PM, I will resign over violent crackdown on protesters : Gen Anupong

Army Commander in Chief Gen Anupong Paochinda said Wednesday that if he were prime minister, he would resign following the deadly crackdown on anti-government protesters on October 7.

“If I were the prime minister and a violent dispersal on protesters happened and caused lives and resulted in injuries like what happened on October 7, I would definitely resign,” Anupong said.

UPDATE 17/Oct/08
When I said “Probably”, I really mean it.

PAD leaders, especially Sondhi Limtongkul still disbelieved General Anupong Paochinda. The Army Show on Channel 3 yesterday looked as if just to clean up General Anupong from three main accusations – (1) Thaksin gave him 50 million baht in his mother’s funeral. (2) His daughter stayed in Thaksin’s resident in Surray. (3) His wife does business with Pojamarn or receives some benefits from Pojamarn. I really don’t want to believe that way.

In the show, he also mentioned that not until evening that he really knew what happened. Didn’t anyone report you about that? Didn’t you see news on a television? What did you do in the whole day?

I hope Sondhis speculation about you was not true

Anupong also strongly denied PAD’s allegations that he now had vested interests with former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra, who allegedly sheltered and sponsored the Army chief’s daughter studying in England.

“My children were never involved with them. My daughter who has studied in England mostly kept to herself and didn’t get involved with anyone,” he said. “I’ve never received anyone’s money.”

General Anupong, you should have acted quickly and stronger.

Is this look powerful and influential or just so ridiculous?

“I stay for benefits of the country and people” : PM Somchai

Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat said he won’t step down, resisting calls from army Chief Anupong Paojinda to quit to take responsibility for the deaths and injuries of protesters who clashed with police on October 7.

Was this the first time in the world history that the civilian prime minister absolutely rejected all armies’ suggestion? Are there somethings behind this? Any conspiracy theory? Or Somchai could figure out that the Army Show were such a great bluff? Or General Anupong’ve already been bought by Thaksin’s money?

What do you think? I wish what Sondhi mentioned about you and your family is not true.

General Anupong, I hope you are still a royal army.
