Who to believe? a British spokesman or Thaksin?
Earlier this month, a British Home Office spokesman said Thaksin and his wife had applied for political asylum, although people close to Thaksin were quoted in Thai media Wednesday as saying that report was incorrect.

He (Thaksin) denied British media reports he was seeking asylum in Britain. A Thai prosecutor said he would urge Britain to extradite Thaksin now that the court had sentenced him to prison.

Another Lie or just a reporter’s confusion?
After the supreme court’s judgement
“It was expected, it wasn’t a surprise, and there will be more to come,” he (Thaksin) said, adding that he planned to stay in Britain.

One Day Later
Thaksin said in a statement that after hearing the judgement, “I am still confused; there is no evidence of fraud, corruption nor abuse of power.”

(5) At the end of 2007, he said he was going for a holiday in Singapore and not selling Shin Corps. Then in January 2008, he sold it, saying it was his children’s decision. When his son was asked, he said it was the parents’ decision.
(6) Once, after the coup, he announced he would no longer get involved in politics. Then, he made several versions of millions of VCDs telling grass-root people to vote PPP for him to come back.
(7) He accepts that the courts were fair when he was acquited from hiding the asset in 2001, as well when he came back in April 2008 when he believed that his lawyers could be successfully bribing the courts, and when he and his wife were released on bails to fly to China and fled to UK.
(8) Upon requesting the courts for a permission to fly abroad, he said he would return to Thailand as bailed. Then, he jumped bails.
When one lies so often, one gets confused in one’s own lies. More specifically, Thaksin is already imprisoned in his own lies and can find no way out.
