round 03:20 (October 30), there were 2 men on a motorcycle parked next to the Makkhawan Bridge. One man in a black jacket threw a grenade (probably M-26) to a group of PAD volunteer security guards. After a loud explosion, there were 6 injuries, 2 were in a serious condition. A clip similar to M26 and those found on October 7 was picked up from the crime scence. The explosion created a hole 3 cm deep and 5 cm wide.
PAD guards reported that they heard gun fires 3 times at the Chamaimaruchet Bridge, but no injuries
They also captured a man around 02:00 after he carried a shirt soaked with petrol walking to the rally site at the Makkhawan Bridget.
Around 04:25, 4-5 men in a black suit fired at a group of PAD guard several times. A witness mentioned that those men climbed out from the fence of Metropolitan Police HQ. They walked toward the PAD and attacked with several gun shots. PAD fighted back with fireworks, and those men retreated.
It is also suspicious that, there used to be police securing the area 200m from the PAD all the time, but they were away since the evening of October 29 and during the attack.
One death was also found behind the Metropolitan Police HQ 150m from the PAD’s barricade. PAD guard confirmed that the death was not one of them.
Another witness mentioned that the death was one among the 4 people who climbed out from the fence of Metropolitan Police HQ.
The man was identified as Sangwian Rujmora, 46, a resident of Bangkok’s Phra Khanong district. He was shot once at his left eyebrow and was hit by hard objects over his body. A police officer said he saw the man walking past police’s checkpoint heading to the Makkhawan Bridge at 04:00. He appeared drunk and kept shouting “fight them.” (Source: The Nation)
Aphirak, The BMA Governor has visited 2 of the injuries and ordered CCTV to be installed in the area.
4 of injuries has gone home, 2 are in serious condition.
Police confirmed that the unidentified bomb that was believed to be M26 was actually the M87, but I don’t think so. There is no hand grenade M87 in the world. Not sure that was the police who was stupid or the reporter didn’t get the message clear enough. Obviously, it is a M26 hand grenade bomb.

for a long time the PAD has attacked the basic rights of Thai people trying to get around their city as well as intentionally impeding the government in performing its essential duties
also the damage to property and costs to the community of many police and military on duty and standby
and causing and inspiring the killings and serious injuries
all destructive and non-productive,
Sondhi keeps trumpeting victories to try to keep his supporters happy, but what has actually been achieved?
so its easy to see ordinary people getting very tired of the foolish PAD
and the less self-controlled are fraying at the edges
when there is nothing to show, why are the PAD continuing…
it seems even Chamlong was giving signs of wanting to negotiate but good old Sondhi rolled him over… he wants to continue
turns out Sondhi is making lots of money … from figures in 2006 he apparently was raking in at least B100M per month from his media businesses and all the sales of clappers, t-shirts, etc
so Sondhi wants to keep the thing rolling… how long can he keep fooling his supporters?
and how long will the majority of Thai people, the police and military put up with him?
how long will he continue?
will ordinary people be able to focus on the Funeral of the Royal Princess? and the Kings Birthday? essential elements in being Thai!

The article is about lethal attacks such as by a deadly weaponry which could be a M26 grenade. It could have claimed more than one’s life. One is already dead or nearly dead at the time of this post, because of the severe injury to the brain.
There is no justification on killing or violent forece upon the stationed PAD by the government and UDD or Thaksin’s supporters.
With such victims’ death because of Thaksin’s supporters and Police’s execution on PAD on Oct 7, justification of PAD to continue the seige to expel Thaksin regime is now even better than before. And much more than the groundless accusation of Sondhi getting rich since Thaksin monthly’s bank interest from MCFC sales is still much higher than Sondhi’s income anyway.
Not to mention the tax frauds by Pojaman!!!
I do not think that the above comment of David Brown is relevant to the article nor justifiable for any killing of PAD.
I do not mind anybody posting anything bad or good about anybody but would it not be a better comment if it is relevant to the article?
However, it may show Thaksin’s supporters have run out of the real brains to think relevantly to the article and beat the bush around.
If I were Thaksin, I would pay for a more brilliant idea.
