MUST READ: Top Asked Questions to PAD (LATEST 6/DEC)
Tagged Under : faqs, final battle, pad
Our only aim is to fight this government until the PM resigns. If in doing so we have caused you any inconvenience. We sincerely apologize. (Picture from Pradit OKNation Blog)
PAD is hurting tourist business, and Thailand’s economic enormously.. Are you sure that this is to help Thailand? How?
Yes! There is no pain without gain, and we think “enough is enough.” Hurting our economy is just a short term lost which is always better than a long term pain that we have to sacrifice. How? If our children still have to live in this country, then no sacrifice can be too great for us to make for their futures. From now on, there will be no more corrupted government who always use the fancy word of “democracy” to cover up their crimes. Our democracy will no longer belong to the rich only but to the poor also.
If you have a better government to depend and listen to people voice, if there is a better way to protest. Why have we continuously protested for more than 6 months. Even seizing control of the government house, they respond nothing. When you say, closing the airport has caused so much damages, and how does the government respond? Excepting disperse the riot using forces, or get the red shirt gangster to attack us.
What Thaksin and his nominee have done so far is damaging Thailand’s business core, let alone the tourism industry. We are not talking about the only (tourism) sector here. We talk about the WHOLE country, we consider the whole picture, not the pdly being attacked by those highly organized criminal minds without being caught. Nothing else you can do? We are all sacrificing our lives here, what more could we sacrifice?
We have done everything, blocking the road, seizing the government house, and they are still shameless. What do you think, your democratic government will do in the event like this? It is not just a few hundreds or thousands that can seize all of these places for so long. We need thousands of thousands people who must also do their normal works and live their normal life, we continue to re-enforce our strongholds. On August 29, Thai police tried to gain back control of the government house in the morning but were quickly forced out by thousands of people who re-enforced in the morning.
Why can’t we protest here? Why we have to do something else since the most direct and effective way is what we have done so far. You have to fight fire with fire.
Also the government have power, law, and arm in their hands. We have been killed daily, where else we can stand?.. Or do you prefer assassination like what some countries did or demonstration like what we are doing? Propose!
Your action is a kind of terrorism, seizing the airports and having passenger as a hostage. Is PAD a group of terrorists?
We are not the terrorists. We don’t hold anyone in hostage. We do no harm to passengers at all. Of course in this situation the passenger may face some inconveniences or some service disruption but we guarantee that we only do the necessary. Instead, we have helped many passengers with our food and drinks, transported them to more convenient location, and gave them a lot of suggestions.
The Airport authority maintain their own right and they can freely do their job as long as they post no risk to our peaceful protester. We only occupied the public area not the restrict area.
You can see that the area we occupied is the area where the ordinary floor mopping person can enter without clarify identification. The airport authority choose to shut down the airport by their own reason. We don’t take that blame.
There were also protests at a airport for many times in the world, which are completely different from the act of terrorists.
What is your view of terrorist when comparing with 9/11? Is thinking differently from the government and demand for justice is called terrorism? Is PAD daily killing is a kind of terrorism?
Why don’t you respect the majority votes of the election?
Our social structure is different from the developed country. Unfortunately we have the 4 seconds democracy where people only allow to vote and leave their fate in the hand of people who win majority vote. The system to counter balance their power is unable to act properly. We have to correct this fatal flaw in our democracy first. And we do not have the absolute democracy system like others.
Why doesn’t PAD become a political party and start a campaign for the next election?
To govern the country is not our objective. We only form the PAD because our system need to be corrected.
We need a fair play in our politic game but since Thaksin was in force, and he used his favoritism and trust from people who vote him to pave his way to hold the absolute power and steered the whole country to his direction. Even though he was not a prime minister now but he still a force behind the previous government and the present. We don’t oppose him personally but we can not accept his wrong doing toward the country.
We have come this far, damage has been done, and lives have been sacrificed. We live by our determinations and ideologies and die by them. Each problem has its own root cause, and we have to solve at it not its contributions. Our country is falling apart because our democracy is following into a wrong hand of government which is nothing but a group of puppets who care for nothing but their own interests. These puppets are now controlled by a puppeteer which is Thaksin, a master of criminal mind. Do we have to wait until each province declare its own declaration of independence? If our democracy has been abused by a corrupted government we shall have our rights to take it back from them. Power to the people and shall be with the people not just those politicians.
Couldn’t you wait for the election every 4 years like we do in US? We don’t like Bush, but we had waited to express out voice in the last election
Don’t you guys remember “The 2003 California recall election”!! Why didn’t Californian wait? Gray Davis second term was only ten months. Davis signed into law several controversial measures during the closing weeks of the recall campaign, including one granting drivers’ licenses to illegal immigrants. Davis also signed legislation requiring employers to pay for medical insurance for workers and legislation granting domestic partners many of the same rights as married people. He vetoed legislation giving illegal immigrants free tuition for community college. Many of Davis’s opponents were furious over the signings of these measures during the final weeks of the Davis administration.
The gross state product (GSP) of CA is about $1.812 trillion, the largest in the United States. California is responsible for 13 percent of the United States gross domestic product (GDP).
“WE ARE BROKE because of Gray Davis. Since the recall election, we still have not recovered.”
Your history shows that It was not because Americans can wait for 4 years to get Bush out of his office, but it was because your president’s bodyguards were so good and Bush junior was so lucky that he can survive the assassination throughout these 4 years.
What is the ultimate objective of the protests ?
- To get the real democracy for Thailand. At present it is a fake democracy, bad politicians and tyrant government. Please look for more detail inhttp://www.antithaksin.com/032_Back_History_00.html

http://www.antithaksin.com/085_Cabinet_of_Greed.html
- To protect the Monarchy because Thaksin has been trying to abolish the Monoarchy and make himself a President, that is to change Thailand from being a “Kingdom” to a “Republic” in stead.
- To get rid of corruptions because Thaksin has left Thailand with extensive high level of corruptions. Thaksin himself is subjected to numerous convictions as you can see inhttp://sovereignmyth.blogspot.com/2008/07/future-cases-asset-scrutiny-committees.html
http://www.antithaksin.com/04_Thaksin%20Shinawatra.html corruptor’s diary
The current government of Somchai also comes from electoral frauds and have been doing nothing apart from laundering Thaksin as you can see from http://www.antithaksin.com/081_Expel.html
- To achieve all above, we have to get rid of Thaksin and his proxies government and punnish them according to the laws.http://nationmultimedia.com/2008/10/21/headlines/headlines_30086532.php
http://www.antithaksin.com/0241_PAD_Announce.html
Why choose the way of march and occupation of the airport?
PAD has protest the People’s Power Party (Thaksin’s party) only after the party started to amend the laws to launder Thaksin in May 2008. We have increased the intensity of the protest in a stepwise manner and always with serious warning/announcements to Thaksin’s supporters before each step. as you can see in PAD’s announcement
http://www.antithaksin.com/0241_PAD_Announce.html
But Thaksin’s supporters/Proxy Government have never stopped trying to whitewash Thaksin. So we have to step up the intensity, step by step. From street protest to government house seize, multiple satellite mobile rallying, and several other civil disobediences under peaceful means and without violence.
The Court approves PAD leaders are free from treasons charges which were filed by the Proxy Government.
http://www.nationmultimedia.com/worldhotnews/read.php?newsid=30085605
They have been applying any means to counter PAD such as legal means and brutal police state raids as well as red-shirt racketeers attack on PAD. They intentionally kill peaceful rallying people three times per day with teargas explosives (which they claim their innocence because the explosives are of low quality since the explosive teargas are made in China) on October 7, 2008. Please look for more detail in
http://www.antithaksin.com/087_Prime_Murderer.html
http://www.antithaksin.com/037_Tyranny%20We%20Are%20Up%20Against.html
After a Princess funeral, they hire a soldier, Lieutenant General Katiya Sawasdipol to use military weapons to sabotage the rallying crowd in the seized government house and ASTV the center of broadcasting of PAD. Grenades and automatic rifles were fired at PAD every night while the government and the police do not take action.
More PAD people were killed and injured. As you can see in PAD’s announcement on the first page of www.antithaksin.com
http://www.antithaksin.com/037_Tyranny%20We%20Are%20Up%20Against.html
We have no choice to call for attention of the nation’s and international attention to force this tyrant government out.
The occupation of the airport caused a lot of trouble to the tourists, is that contradictory to the original intention?
PAD sincerely regrets any inconvenience and troubles to tourists and anybody. However, it is the airport authority who ordered the shutdown of the airports, not PAD. The airports, particularly Suwannapoom, can still function well. PAD only obstruct the road outside the buildings while there are four other levels of easy accesses to the airport buildings. PAD do not interfere with the passengers/officers in the buildings. It is the smear of the government on PAD because the Head of the airport authority is a brother-in-law of Weera Musikapong, the leader of red UDD/DAAD, a strong supporter of the government and Thaksin. Actually, Weera Musikapong, the airports, not PAD. Actually, Weera Musikapong, Thaksin’s mouthpiece is the interviewer of Thaksin’s Phone-in in the major red gathering on November 1, 2008.
The airports events are unavoidable we have protested elsewhere continuously and peacefully for six months.
Until lately PAD has been more and more killed and injured every day with milittary weapons without police/government protection while we cannot let this tyrant proxy government of Thaksin to go on. Therefore, before we lose all the people supports, we have to go for an unavoidable final showdown. It is our final battle.

what you have written just showed how selfish you are towards the whole nation. no matter how corrupted a government, there is no need to take the 2 airports. you said that the economic impact is only a short term. how do you know? investors are pulling out of thailand, as a result jobs are loss. confidence in Thailand from other countries are low. the economic impact would be longer than you think.
if you say the government is responsible for vote buying, then he will received his punishment. and there is one coming up on Dec 2. if found guilty, he will have to leave. right?
there is still no justifications on your seizure of the airports. if you claim that you do it because of the increase violence on your groups at targeted areas, then you should put the interest of your followers in priority and stop the rally. you claim the government or the supporters of the government is behind the attacks, but it could well have come from commoners who are just tired with all your doings and want it to stop. i mean, there is no evidence that who is involved, so there is again no justifications to blame anyone.
so far, the police have done nothing to disperse all of you at the airport. the police and everyone do not want to see blood shed, especially thai fighting thai. you should be thankful instead.
it is always so easy to pick out the wrongs of people, but we never learn to praise people for their good work. we are always blaming people for things that happen, but we never fail to stop and think are we the cause of it. it is so easy to say some things will happen in the future, but we don’t even know the future, how can we say it will happen.
come on PAD, enough is enough. return back to the government house. be gracious and leave the airports. let the world see that you understand the whole turmoil and is willing to move one step back. the whole will praise you for doing this. it will thank you for allowing them to travel back to see their loved ones (in and out of Thailand). it will praise you for preventing a blood shed. it will allow the world to see that you are a group with good motives, and is willing to work for your country, unlike the government that you claim is corrupted.
you will benefit more to leave the 2 airports than the government. please….

Point 1. Do you know? There is a report that red shirt gangster is going to surround the constitutional court not allowing the judge to announce the verdict?
Point 2. Don’t you know the nature of protester? Their heart will be stiffen and no one will be willing to stand up and fight anymore. It is the way it is.. And one more time saying this, I don’t agree with seizing the airport, but what have been done is already done.. so we have to find the way to be most compromised. Why don’t you just ask the government to resign to end all of this?… What about if we ended the protest and the red shirts are still hunting for us? If we are not in group who to protect us? The police? Will you be responsible for that? There are several things you don’t know from the news.
Point 3. You don’t know again that some police are in our side, more than hundreds of their wife and their older relatives are in the protest in each location.. That is another reason, why they don’t disperse, and seizing control of the Suvarnabhumi Airport is so easy. One lady in yellow shirted yelled at one police at the airport “YOU! I told you not to come!”.. What a joke that policeman is her husband.
And your begging here won’t help, love thailand I am not related to any PAD leaders at all. if you want to send them a message, you need to find another channel.

Love Thailand,
I am sorry to say that the person you are addressing, Vorapoap, doesn’t really read or attempt to understand the arguments you are making. Your words are falling on deaf ears when it comes to Vorapoap. He will likely delete my comment anyway……but I thought you should know. If I were him I would at least addres the woverwhelming anti-PAD sentiment he is getting on his web site. You’d think this anti PAD stuff would at least bring him some shame…..or at least illicit some thoughtful comments on his part. Most of the PAD are brain washed…..
But I hear your words!

No I don’t.. and I am proud of what I am doing..
I put up only comment that is unique to the discussion.. I allow many of you to split at PAD on my web site.. Why should I…?.. This is my website.. Why don’t you go to somewhere like thaivisa.com and talk about it? .. Or you have already done.. and you still feel you can do nothing…. So believe me.. comparing to us.. you are powerless.

PAD is turning out to be a cult more than a group that is trying to end corruption..brainwashing people..seizing airports..innocent people are suffering..myself and many others were supporters of the PAD..but this moronic move has shown how this group has changed from skywalker to darth vader..find ways to let the government suffer..not the innocent people..what the PAD should remember is that the general population of Thailand is massive compared to the two silly groups that are fighting with each other…they should be doing things to get the general public on their side..however they have decided to let the public suffer..the government doesn’t care if the airport is shut..they can still get in and out of the country..
and we already know that the government doesnt care about the people..but shouldn’t the PAD be different..what makes them different from the government in this case..they are making a selfish move too..they are other ways to get what they want..
the current government is here for Thaksin..but i was under the impression that the PAD was here to bring justice to the people..i thought they were here for the people..they are hurting the ones are they are supposedly here for..
i’m very disappointed at the PAD and so is the rest of the world..they could have acheived great things had they not make this stupid move..no pain, no gain..cause pain to the right people..the public didn’t do anything to deserve this..

Keep dreaming kid and never be awaked.

It’s funny when listen to people keep saying, claiming that they were PAD supporter and changed the position. Any one saying that is likely to be a joker not the real PAD.

I totally agree with you.
@love thailand and @Lilly
First, the PADs were in the front of the government office and look at what the police did to us. How many people were injured and died?
The PADs were forced to do this. They could have protested in the front of the government office with out any violence.
Occupying the airports could gain some weigh on the negotiation. I am now in the UK and totally cannot go back to Thailand. I have been effected by the airports’ closure as well, but I still agree with the PAD.
Love you all, PAD…it’s now or never.

To add, it’s sad that when people saying they changed the position I see the size of PAD is growing.
The PAD and I never call themselves as ‘PAD support’, instead we call ourselves ‘I’m PAD’!

(BangkokPost.com) – A survey conducted by Abac Poll Research Center revealed that many Thai people were ashamed of the political turmoil and they preferred to stay politically neutral.
According to the poll, 76.5 per cent felt very embarrassed about the local political turbulence and the negative views of foreigners toward Thailand.
65.1 per cent said they would have less pride in the country, if the situation turns violent and intensifies. 92.3 per cent believed political problems can be solved by the justice system. 58.4 per cent said they will not take sides in politics.

I will never support any party group which has already made a mess of this beloved country of mine. The tourists are already scared and they will not come back. The tourism industry will collapse. The country is losing millions of bahts daily. The big time and small time businessmen are affected and losing money. Unemployment on a mega scale in excess of a million will happen soon in 2009. Tell me, how can we put our faith in PAD? They are just morons who wear the color yellow but they DO NOT CARE about our country and people. They are destroying us. Aren’t you shameful of yourselves for what you have done to fellow country men and ordinary folks?

It is almost incomprehensible that these people believe they will gain support by their actions.
They have certainly achieved one of their goals – worldwide attention – but none of it will be sympathetic. PAD are alienating the every-day hard-working citizens of their own country, and the rest of the world.
They are directly and indirectly affecting millions of people around the world – affecting flights, tourism and much more. To think they will garner support for their cause by their actions is naive.
They may or may not be right in what they stand for – but there must be more productive ways to go about it than to hold the country to ransom.
For goodness sake – free up the airports at least. Don’t cripple your own economy by your selfish actions.
I respect that you believe what you stand for – but there has to be a better way!

Dear PAD,
Corruption is endemic in Thailand. Corrupt politician should be jailed to banned form politics for 5 years, whcih is no punishment at all.
Therefore, when you stand against corruption you are doing the right thing. However, if you are sincere in this you should fight against the core of this problem in Thailand and not just against the symptoms.
The core of the problemis not vote buying. That is just a symptom. The core of the problem is society itself. Thai society is injust in that it does not provide equal opportunity to all of it’s citizens. One only needs to look at its education system and the way justice is carried out.
Good schools for the rich and virutally no access to higher education for the large majority up-country. The same applies to justice and police actions.
Your protests should therefore be directed at the minstry of education and the minstry of justice, to demand equality for all Thais. Only when all Thais have equal opportunity in life can you expect true democracy.
Unfortunately your actions of late have shown that you are not for equality and true democracy at all. PAD, a minority group, has shown over and over again that it wants its ideology forced on the majority by whatever means.
If you protest on neutral ground and peacefully as you claim, without arms, your protest are justified, albeit your objectives are narrow minded.
But when you hold your own country hostage by closing airports you should learn to accept the fact that you are commiting a terrorist act. It’s like holding a loaded gun to someone’s head to demand that he/she does as you want.
Dear PAD, do not be afraid to criticize yourself and in particular your leaders and high level backers. Don’t be just the sheep that follow its leaders no matter what. PAD started of well but in the end stood for fascist principles, not democracy.
